From Mutual Aid to Holiday Cheer: A Week of Service and Festive Spirit at EAFD

On Wednesday around 11:00am, EAFD firefighters were alerted mutual assistance to York for a barn fire. Once on scene, firefighters assisted farmers with suppression and opening up, limiting damage to less than half of the commodity building.

Later that evening, EAFD attended the final Good Night Lights of the season at Golisano Children’s Hospital, joining many area fire departments, EMS, and law enforcement agencies in waving goodnight to our friends there. This has become one of our favorite traditions, and we take great pride in participating each year.

Quint 278 was decorated by our membership for the holiday season and received 1st Place recognition at the Scottsville and Honeoye Falls Christmas parades, as well as 2nd Place at Caledonia’s.

Don’t forget to stop out on Sunday, December 21st, at 1:00pm at the Circle to see Santa and put in some last-minute wishes.

As we wrap up our festive tour throughout the area, we wish all of our friends and neighbors a safe and happy holiday season!
