On Monday this week, Department members were invited by Rush FD to assist them with rural water supply training in the South end of their district. The drill took place on Gilbert Mill – Wilkinson Rd which is a shared road with territory in both of our districts. EAFD members assisted with hoseline water skills, dump site setup as well as assisting Mumford FD at the tanker fill site. It is important for both Departments to practice this particular discipline as many areas of southern Rush and North Avon do not have fire hydrants. We enjoyed a night of training and furthering our strong relationship with our neighbors to the North, thank you for the invite!
Next week, Rush will be hosting their annual parade and carnival from August 10 – 12, please support them in their annual fundraiser!
