On Wednesday morning at 11:12am, EAFD firefighters were requested to assist Avon firefighters at a house fire on Wadsworth Ave. in the Village. Avon and East Avon firefighters worked to control the well advanced fire, bringing it under control quickly. We are very happy the resident and dogs were able to escape the home without injury.
We appreciate Honeoye Falls firefighters for taking the time out of their afternoon to cover the Town of Avon while we were out at the fire, and the many folks that came to support all firefighters with cold drinks and snacks on a hot summer day…it really helped us out!
