Extrication Drill Night

On Monday evening, EAFD members worked together to sharpen their skills on auto extrication and vehicle stabilization. The training included setting up the Paratech struts which assist in stabilizing the vehicles as well as the use of the Holmatro extrication tools which allows firefighters to gain access to occupants.

House Fire in Lakeville

Yesterday at 8:42am crews from Lakeville, Livonia, Hemlock and EAFD as the FASTeam were dispatched to Pebble Beach Rd in Lakeville for smoke coming from the residence near an AC unit. Rope Rescue Training

Last night, EAFD members trained on rope rescue applications in the district. Specifically, the group worked on methods of rigging a stokes basket, practicing lowering and raising techniques using old and new technology, along with going through patient packaging techniques.
