A Full Day of Live Fire Training and Mutual Assistance

EAFD firefighters were back to being busy on Sunday. At 0700, EAFD was requested to Feeley Rd. in Caledonia for a corn dryer that was on fire. Our members provided a FAST while Quad 276 supplied water in the tanker shuttle. Thank you to the Honeoye Falls Fire Department for filling in.

Upon leaving Caledonia, members left to attend a full day of live fire training at Town Line Volunteer Fire Department (Erie County) along with Churchville Fire Equipment and members from the Lakeville Fire Department. We were able to test out the MSA packs, demo the LUNAR devices with enhanced digital accountability, practice search and rescue along with extinguishment. Thank you Town Line FD for hosting us at your beautiful training tower and thank you Scottsville Fire Department for covering our district while we trained!

At 1616 on Sunday, East Avon and Lima Fire Departments along with Livingston County and Livonia EMS units were dispatched to a 1 car rollover on Triphammer Rd.. Crews returned to service at 1713.

EAFD firefighters would run 3 more calls for service on Monday. To say our membership is pretty tired from a busy 3 days would be an understatement. Thank you to all of our members for your dedication to the department and community!
