Members of the East Avon Fire Department had a busy week with calls and assisting our neighboring departments. They filled in at the Hemlock Fair 3 evenings for the demolition derby and tractor pulls. They also went to several motor vehicle crashes, smoke investigations and fires.
Yesterday, they were dispatched to a dump truck vs car motor vehicle crash in Caledonia with multiple victims to be checked, power lines down and one vehicle into a house.
Later in the evening they were dispatched to a field fire in Caledonia and utilized their booster line and one their cafs packs to extinguish the fire.
We are proud of our membership stepping up when many are on vacations and value our continued partnership with all of our great neighbors.
